DAY 1 US/ SAN SALVADOR
Departure from the U.S. to El Salvador International Airport, where you will be met by our representative. Transfer to the Deluxe Hotel Real InterContinental or Sheraton or Superior Tourist Comfort Inn San Salvador.
DAY 2 SAN SALVADOR CITY EXPLORER
Depart in the morning for a drive through the residential and commercial streets and avenues of the capital city. We will visit the National Anthropological Museum, La Zona Rosa, Paseo General Escalon and the monument of the Divino Salvador del Mundo, located in the Plaza Las Americas. After this tour the National Historical Centre, the Metropolitan Cathedral,the National Palace and a gallery of hand crafted artifacts. After lunch transfer to Alicante Montaña Hotel or similar for overnight. Meals ( B/L)
DAY 3 EL IMPOSIBLE NATIONAL PARK
Today visit El Imposible National Park, part of the Apaneca – Ilamatepec range of mountains offering the largest biological diversity in El Salvador, Walking through interpretative trails in the middle of exuberant and exotic vegetation, you will learn about this tropical forest and its importance within the Mesoamerican eco system. Return to Alicante Montaña Hotel or similar for overnight. Meals (B/L)
DAY 4 CANOPY ADVENTURE The Apaneca Canopy Tour is an adventure consisting in fourteen platforms suspended from the canopy of centenary pine and oak trees . Experience a marvelous sensation traveling through canopy in a tropical forest in a fun and secure way, loocking to toucans, hawks, squirrels and many other small animals. Overnight at Alicante Montaña Hotel or similar. Meals (B).
DAY 5 JOYA DE CEREN ARQUELOGICAL SITE Drive in the morning to Joya de Ceren, considered to be the most important archeological site discovered in El Salvador. Joya de Ceren was declared world heritage by UNESCO in 1993, is the only location in the Mayan culture where you can appreciate the day to day life and costumes. All well preserved by the action of the volcanic ashes after the eruption. Continue to the central part of the country the city of Suchitoto. Overnight at La Posada de Suchitlan Hotel or similar. DAY 6 SUCHITOTO AND LAKE SUCHITLAN Visit the beautiful colonial city of Suchitoto settled between the Guazapa volcano and the magnificent Lake of Suchitlan. Drive to Puerto San Juan at Lake Suchitlan, where we will board a boat to tour “Bird Island”, a real natural paradise, home to thousands of birds. Return to Puerto San Juan for local city tour of Suchitoto, with a splendid colonial architecture, the mountains and its antique stone roads. Overnight , at La Posada de Suchitlan hotel or similar. Meals (B/L)
DAY 7 SUCHITOTO
Morning on your own to enjoy the beauty of this colonial town. Stroll around, its theater, church, plazas and admire its architecture. Afternoon, transfer to your selected hotel in San Salvador. Meals (B)
DAY 8 EL SALVADOR/ U.S.
Transfer to the International Airport in time for your return flight to the U.S. Meals (B)
