DAY 1 USA / SAN SALVADOR
Departure from the U.S. on Taca to El Salvador International Airport, where you will be met by our representative. Transfer to the hotel in San Salvador Welcome cocktail at selected hotel in San Salvador Lodging at selected hotel in San Salvador
Day 2 El Imposible National Park
El Imposible National Park – Hiking through interpretative trail - Landscape from El Mulo’s view point – Mixtepe Visitor Center - Lunch at Eco Lodge El Imposible
Located 110 kms west of San Salvador, El Imposible National Park is part of the Apaneca – Ilamatepec range of mountains. When we arrive at the park we will first have a stroll through interpretative trails in the middle of exuberant and exotic vegetation, where you will learn about this tropical forest and its importance within the Mesoamerican eco system. During the hike, we will reach a view point where we will be able to observe the impressive landscapes and mountains that represent one third of the park. We will finish our hike by visiting the interpretative center of Mixtepe and by having a local lunch in the area. El Imposible is a protected natural area offering the largest biological diversity existing in El Salvador. It is also the home for species that are in danger of extinction around the world. During the rainy season (May 16th to Nov 15th) we normally hike for about 2 hours approximately; level of hike: Basic. During summer time (Nov 16th to May 15th) we normally hike for about 5 hours approximately; level of hike: Intermediate. Lodging at Alicante Mountain Hotel (B,L)

Day 3 Apaneca Canopy Tour
Located in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec volcanic range, one hour and a half from San Salvador, you will find the Apaneca Canopy Tour. In this adventure you will slide down in more than 2000 meters of cable, fourteen platforms suspended from the canopy trees, up to 150 meters in height. Experience a marvelous sensation of flying through the skies in a mountain tropical forest in a fun and secure way. The canopy tour lasts approximately one hour and a half and it’s divided in two sections. In the first section of the tour you will slide through the trees contemplating the unique flora and fauna of this forest; with a little luck you will be able to appreciate toucans, hawks, squirrels and many other small animals; your eyes will be surprised when looking at centenary pine trees, oak trees and others. In the next section you will slide down over a shaded, strictly high mountain grown coffee plantation, well appreciated in the best specialty coffee markets and delight yourself when the cherries reach their point ready to be handpicked.

Day 4 Climbing Izalco Volcano
Cerro Verde Volcano National Park – Stroll through the cloud forest of Cerro Verde National Park – Landscape of the Izalco Volcano – Landscape of the Ilamatepec Volcano – Landscape of the Coatepeque Lake – Hike and climb Izalco’s Volcano, Lunch with grand view to Coatepeque Lake
We will depart to the Cerro Verde Volcano National Park (65 kms west of San Salvador). We are beginning this adventure with a stroll around the park. After this we will start our hike by taking a trail to the Izalco Volcano from where we will go up the hill towards the Izalco’s crater. The fun will continue for us on the way back, when we take an ash down slide to a dense foggy jungle. Following this day of action packed fun we will return to San Salvador. Hiking time: approximately 5 hours; hiking level: intermediate. Return to San Salvador in the late afternoon. Return to San Salvador in the late afternoon for lodging at selected Hotel. Evening transfer to a local restaurant for a farewell dinner. Transfer form local restaurant to selected hotel for lodging. (B, L, D)

DAY 5 EL SALVADOR/ U.S.
